Libby Jo Bollmann died at the age of 26 at her home in Chester, Illinois. She is survived by her Father, Mark Bollmann; Mother, Genia McCarty Bollmann; Brother, Joel Bollmann; Sister Chelsie Bollmann-Setzekorn; Sister-in-law Bailey Setzekorn; Niece and Nephew, Norah and Julian Setzekorn, and countless family and friends who loved her dearly.
Libby was a special soul. She was truly one of a kind daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was the most resilient person we knew. She faced many adversities in her life and somehow always managed to find herself on top; reaching her goals. She deserved the absolute best this world could offer. She was taken too soon; taken before she was able to live out those dreams she had been working so hard for. We are all incredibly proud of the woman she grew up to be. She had a heart of gold, a truly selfless person. Libby was an incredible Aunt. She loved Norah and Julian unconditionally and helped raise the babies for their first 7 months home from the hospital.
She was the best addition to our family, being the youngest child she spent many years alone at home with her Mom and Dad. She was their saving grace. Libby would keep the household light and full of laughter. When life would shake the house with discomfort, Libby was the one to bring everyone to its center, to remind us all what love and family was all about. She was truly the foundation of the family.
Libby was beautiful, funny, charismatic and loyal. Her friendships were of the highest priorities in her life. She was the friend to always have your back, no matter what, and no matter how long you may have went without speaking. She cherished those friendships and loved each and every one of her friends for the time spent in her life. She made unbreakable bonds with many and those relationships, even in her absence they will live on.
Her hobbies and interest were anything fun-loving. She greatly enjoyed family get-togethers. Game nights as we laughed and made fun of one another; this was always our specialty. She enjoyed Jeep Rides and float trips, evenings out at the bar, lunches and dinners with her friends, movies, binge watching TV and spending time with her Niece and Nephew.
She had completed 2 years of college and was working on a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. Libby had been working full time as the Deputy Clerk for the Randolph County Courthouse which she enjoyed very much.
In her memory, we would like to extend an invitation to her family and friends to honor her in a Celebration of Life. This celebration will be held at the American Legion on September 25, 2021 at 11:00 am – 3:30 pm. We will be serving Chicken Alfredo, Salad and Bread. Lunch will be followed by an afternoon of sharing memories, laughter, and tears for our sweet Libby Jo.
There will be a Memorial Trust set up on Libby's behalf for her niece and nephew, Norah June and Julian Scott, as this is something she would love from deep down in her huge heart.
