Pet Cremation

In 2017, Greystone Crematory opened providing human cremation services to our community and surrounding areas. We then saw the need arise to offer these same services we provide for people and their families, to the pets in their family. The loss of a pet family member often carries the same weight as the loss of a person in your family and we wanted to take the same level of care, compassion, and dignity we have for people and extend that to pets and their families.

We offer two types of cremation for pets: Private or Communal. With private cremation, a pet is cremated individually and the cremated remains are returned to the family in an included plastic temporary urn or an urn of your choosing. Communal cremation is when multiple pets are cremated together and their remains are scattered into a natural area as their final resting place. Cremation has become a popular option for many people because it can be more flexible as to where and when you hold a service. You can have a traditional funeral service before a cremation or a memorial service at any time with or without the urn present. You can keep the urn, scatter the ashes or have the urn buried in a grave or columbarium where we can hold a service. Whether you choose burial or cremation, we’re here to offer you a meaningful ceremony.
